FAQ
Does acupressure work?
The points follow the meridian system of traditional Chinese medicine, a practice refined over thousands of years. Pressing the right points releases the stress that your body is holding – and you don't have to take that on faith: you feel it shift during the session.
Do I need to believe in it?
No. Nothing about the practice asks for belief. You press real points on your own body and pay attention to what changes. Scepticism is a perfectly good place to start from.
What if I've never done this before?
Every session is guided step by step. Spoken guidance takes you through each point while a diagram shows you exactly where to press. There's nothing to learn before you begin.
Is Ankaa a meditation app?
No. Ankaa is a guided practice of acupressure and affirmations – your hands do the pressing, and the affirmations work on the thoughts underneath. Nothing asks you to sit still and quiet your mind.
Is Ankaa medical?
No. Ankaa is a guided practice, not a medical device. It doesn't diagnose or treat medical conditions. Always consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
How long does a session take?
A few minutes, from start to finish. It includes an opening balance, exercises specific to your symptoms, and a closing balance.
What does Ankaa cost?
Ankaa is a subscription-based service. A 7-day free trial is included, which converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. Pricing is displayed in the app.
Where is Ankaa available?
On iOS and Android, in 170+ countries.
